Attendees

Present:

- Neil Rodenback (Operations Coordinator)

- Lacy Willhite (Event Coordinator)

Absent:

- Amie Majerus (Marketing)

Principal’s Report – Nellie Brown

- ED is the largest school in the district and the largest it has been in the past 14 years at least.

- Large group of ML/ESL students in kindergarten.

- 4 new teachers and new office staff: Stephanie (Executive Secretary), Margaret (Assistant Secretary).

- Library construction is 4 weeks behind schedule; 4 new rooms added for counseling, reading intervention, and office space.

- Traffic safety improvements funded by $85K city grant.

- Spanish-speaking families supported via translation services and TalkingPoints app.

- School climate is positive.

Treasurer’s Report – Deborah Hughes

- Main fundraiser: Fun Run (Goal: $50K; typically raises $60K+).

- Other fundraisers: Bingo Night, Box Tops, Restaurant Nights.

- Annual spending (~$50K): Theatre, Teacher Grants, Conference Travel, Staff Appreciation, Shakespeare in Schools, Artist Residency, Author Visits, Field Trip Scholarships, School Store, Pavilion Project.

- November PAC meeting will finalize budget.

Business

- Motion passed to add Kristen Connolly and Danielle Fedore to PAC bank account and remove Sarah Hays.

- Motion passed to approve 2025–2026 board.

- Open positions: Secretary, Marketing.

- Teacher Grants review in November.

- Pavilion project nearly complete; furniture arrived.

Event Planning

Fun Run:

- October 3, 2025

- Assembly: September 19

- Setup: October 2 @ 5:30 PM

- Mountain Berry Bowls food truck

- Volunteers needed for setup and day-of help

Bozeman Children’s Theatre – Wonka:

- Auditions: September 20

- School Matinee & PM Performance: October 24

• PAC funds transportation

• Nellie coordinating buses- Parent liaison needed

- Evening Performance: October 25

Other Highlights:

- Holiday Program decorations – volunteers welcome

- Husky Naming Contest – vote at Fun Run

- Additional fundraiser ideas: raffle, hat day, movie night

- Need 5th Grade Legacy Coordinator

- Bingo Night date TBD

- Events start at 5:30/5:45 to align with aftercare and volunteer availability
